SWEATER CARE

At Baciano, we are passionate about creating timeless classics, especially when it comes to our cozy and versatile cotton sweaters. To ensure your favorite pieces maintain their pristine condition, follow these care guidelines:

Know Yarn

Baciano has crafted a reputation for producing sweaters in various materials, including cotton, rayon/nylon, cashmere, and chenille. To determine the best care method, always check the content label for composition. For our Signature designs in Rayon/Nylon or Cotton, opt for gentle hand washing and lay flat to dry. In the case of plush cashmere or wool, hand wash delicately and never use a dryer, as it can harm these delicate materials. Care instructions specific to each style are also provided, so be sure to review those.

Use of Material:

When hand washing, use a wool and cashmere-specific shampoo, or baby shampoo as a suitable alternative. Add a small amount to warm water, soak for 15 minutes, rinse twice with cool water, and gently press dry into a sink or on a clean, dry towel to remove excess moisture—avoid wringing. Lay flat to dry to prevent stretching yarns or misshaping the silhouette.

Looking to refresh your sweater?

After hand washing, fill your sink with cool water and a small amount of liquid fabric softener. Swirl until the garment is saturated, then rinse with cool water. Gently press dry into the sink or on a clean, dry towel to remove excess moisture—avoid wringing. Lay flat to dry to maintain the integrity of the yarns and silhouette, and revel in the extra cozy feel of your cotton.

BONUS: How Often Should I Wash?

Our sweaters are as resilient as they are chic, and they don't need frequent washing. Washing every 3-4 wears is generally sufficient to keep them in top condition. Use your judgment—if there's a particular need, wash it; otherwise, let your sweater air out for extended wear.
