have often been asked why I didn’t pursue a career in fashion, as a stylist or a designer. I guess the best answer is that knowing what works for me is very different from knowing what will work for other people. I know what I like and what looks good on me, but finding that for someone has never been something I felt capable of. I was a boutique owner for a short while, and even doing the buying for entire demographic was daunting. My hope is that this blog will allow me to showcase my personal style – while at the same time inspiring others with what I feel good in.

On a side note the blog name also pays homage to my beautiful nine year old son Hunter, who like his mother is a collector of beautiful things. Unlike his mother, beauty for him lies in the realm of insects, frogs, fossils and rocks.
