Monterey Old Fisherman’s Wharf

Monterey Old Fisherman’s Wharf - Baciano Official Store

Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf is the perfect place to visit during the Holidays! It was a bit chilly by the water but absolutely gorgeous and sunny. Seriously dreamlike weather for December! Gorgeous views of the bay, ships sailing by, whale watching . . . what more could you want? On top of that there are some great shops, restaurants, and opportunities to try some impressive clam chowder bowls. It’s also the perfect place to stroll around and take in the giant Christmas tree they’ve set up.

My mom and I took in the sights, then found a restaurant with a gorgeous view for dinner. We even stuck around for a couple of minutes après dinner to hear some Christmas caroling! It’s always fun to have a girls’ day with mom! What’s your favorite mother daughter activity? Make sure to tell me in the comments below!

*Funny story* – one time, my boyfriend and I drove over an hour to the Old Fisherman’s Wharf to go ice skating! Once we got there, we couldn’t find a rink in sight . . . turns out, the ad we saw for an ice skating rink was from the year before! The disappointment was real. Thankfully, there are a couple of ice skating rinks much closer to home this year.
